I visited Eugene B. Smith's gallery on a First Friday soon after my transplantation. He came up to me and said, "I had dinner with you last Thursday." I was taken aback, because, no, he didn't, I had been boozing at Cork Street Tavern. "Yeah, last Thursday. I was sitting at the table next to yours," he said. Aaah.
The dogwoods and apple blossoms are in full bloom in our neighborhood. That always reminds me of Winchester, where the city's streets are just lousy with them. Dan, I want one of these prints for Mother's Day/wedding anniversary/birthday, okay?
